Transportation

Malaysia has a good transport system and is easily accessible to move around the country. For long distance private bus operators like Transnasional, Konsortium and KKKL are very good operators. You will find speed ferries in Penang and Langkawi. In Kuala Lumpur good train networks Monorail, LRT.

Taxi in Malay is “Teksi” there are metered taxis but most of the time the drivers won’t use the meter and minimum charge per KM is 1 MYR. If a taxi is booked an additional surcharge of 2 MYR. If expressways are used then there are toll charges. There is a 50% surcharge from midnight to 6 AM. In the Airport before the customs area and in KL Sentral and KL tower area there are Taxi coupons system facility available.

Train fare – INR 30 to INR 550 (2 MYR – 35 MYR) depends on the distance.
Minimum Taxi fare for 4 to 5 KM – INR 200 (15 MYR)
Bus travel fare 2 to 3 Hours – INR 350 (20 MYR)
Bus travel fare more than 4 hrs    – INR 700 (45 MYR)

Things to do in Malaysia

Petronas tower 

Sky deck and observation tower are open from Tuesdays to Sundays from 9 AM to 9 PM.

Entry fees RM 85 (1300 INR) for Adults and RM 32 (500 INR) for children. Every day very limited tickets will be issued. It’s better to book online.

Genting Highlands 

You require on the full day. Leave early to Genting highlands. Arrive at the bottom of the hill and take a cable car ride from the cable car station to the Genting high lands hotel.

Visit – Chin swee cave temple, Snow world, Strawberry leisure farm and Haunted Adventure – a 10 minutes’ walk in the darkness.

Malacca

Malacca a historic and most sought destination in Malaysia truly Asia.It was once a vibrant trading port and now become a sleepy backwater city. It has a unique heritage and home of well known Nyonya cuisines. Buses to Malacca will cost RM 14 (INR 225) one-way trip and it’s a 2 hours travel by Bus from Kuala Lumpur. It’s believed that Islam spread to Malaysia in the 12th century from India and is started in Malacca.

Must visit the night view of Malacca River and the Baba Nyonya Mansion.One more best thing to do is food tripping and enjoy Baba Nyonya cuisines.

Cameron Highlands

Cameron Highlands situated 150 KM from Kuala Lumpur and is the biggest tea region in Malaysia.Here the temperature is very cooler about 20deg to 25 deg max.It will take 3 hours by bus from Kuala Lumpur.One way trip will cost you around RM 35 (INR 600)

Georgetown in Penang

Penang one of the cleanest city in Malaysia and food heaven. It manages to embrace modernity while retaining its colonial traditions.It’s a world UNESCO cultural heritage. It will cost you around 45 RM  INR 700.  Travel time 5 hours from Kuala Lumpur. Better to do online booking for buses @ Busonlineticket

The Kek Lok Si Temple is a Buddhist temple situated in Air Itam, Gurney Drive Hawker Markets, Explore Batu Ferringhi Night Bazaar. The floating Mosques and its unique architecture.

Langkawi

Better take a city tour trip. Check whether the prices are including entry tickets. One day do some photo shoot and water sports.
